Small in size, big in features DEVELOP ineo 163/213

Langenhagen, June 2007. Research has shown that the small businesses looking for a reliable, economical and easy-to-use system that delivers high-quality output and is backed by dependable service and support. As space is frequently at a premium in the small or home office, the system needs to be compact and multifunctional (i.e. print, copy, fax and scan). The recently launched ineo 163/213 from DEVELOP meets all these needs. It prints and copies at 16 or 21 A4 ppm (ideal speeds for everyday office applica-tions) as well as offering sophisticated scanning and high-end fax functionality. And to top it all, the ineo 163/213 offers excellent value for money.

Patrick Klaus, the ineo 163/213 Product Manager, outlines the kind of user this DEVELOP system will appeal to: “Besides small or home office users, the ineo 163/213 makes sounds business sense for users of analogue copiers who are looking for more functionality, users of ink-jet printers who want to save time and money, and mid-sized businesses who need more than A4. Office managers keen to introduce networked printing and scanning will also be glad to see this system has an optional network card.”

Intelligent multifunctionality

Many small and home office users will be happy with GDI printing and copying, TWAIN scan-ning and Internet faxing. But the ineo 163/213 has much more to offer. Its A3 printing, copy-ing, scanning and faxing performance puts this multifunctional system in a different league from desktop printers. Moreover, it can be equipped with an optional card for networked print-ing and scanning. If this system is installed in a networked environment, the office manager will be able to manage up to 50 authorised accounts and put individual restrictions on printing and copying usage. With the ineo 163/213 you don’t get the feeling that multifunctionality comes at the expense of performance.

Improved flow of information

It is, above all, the scanning and faxing features that give the ineo 163/213 a clear edge over desktop printers. The optional network card makes scan to e-mail, scan to FTP and network TWAIN scanning possible. Super G3 and Internet faxing are optional features. Office envi-ronments will profit from an improved flow of information through better office communications and shared information assets.

Economical ease of use

Document production costs can burn a hole in a small firm’s budget. So a truly economical office system is an attractive proposition. The ineo 163/213 helps to minimise running costs because it is economical on toner and uses just one set of consumables for printing, copying, faxing and scanning. No office user wants to waste time trying to work out how to operate a complicated machine. Here, the ineo 163/213 saves users time and their company money. The operating panel and user interface of the printer driver have been designed for intuitive ease of use. There are 32 one-touch dial and 240 speed dial choices for faxing and e-mails. The whole machine has been ergonomically designed with an easy-to-change toner. And documents can be printed on non-standard paper sizes from the bypass tray.

All in all, the ineo 163/213 is an efficient and economical performer for essential office func-tions. In small businesses it can also be expected to improve productivity through a faster information workflow and improved networking and communication capabilities.
