PPM is a clustering tool that enables printrooms and printshops to make more efficient use of their printing resources. When demand peaks, a print job can be allocated to as many as five printing systems – so it gets printed five times faster.
By effectively managing their printing resources, corporate printrooms and commercial printshops can deal more effectively with peaks in demand or system failures. PPM is an inexpensive, easy-to-use resource management tool that distributes print jobs to as many as five clustered printing. This enables higher-volume jobs to be completed more quickly in centralised or decentralised printing environments. PPM works with any Develop digital system equipped with a PostScript controller and connected to a network, and is recommended for all higher-volume systems.

- Cluster creation: PPM manages up to 15 PostScript printing systems, which the user simply assigns to clusters of up to five systems. Print jobs are then distributed in the quickest possible way to the respective cluster.
- Split copies: Print jobs can be split among the printers in a cluster by determining the number of prints per system.
- Forward: Print jobs can be forwarded as a complete job to the best available printer in a cluster.
- Minimum number of copies: Small jobs need not be distributed. Users can set the minimum number of prints for print job distribution.
- Divider sheet: PPM prints out a divider sheet on every printer to tell the user how many prints of a distributed job were printed on the respective printer.
